| Abstract: | This paper describes the preparation and use of a control material (PlasCon) which may be aspirated in prediluted form to monitor the calibration of the Coulter Counter Model S Plus. A comparison study with two commercial preparations, and a study of the stability and between-batch reproducibility of PlasCon, show the material to be suitable for quality control of platelet counting. |
