| Abstract: | Five phytoecdysteroids were isolated from the roots of Rhaponticum uniflorum. They were identified as ecdysterone, ajugasterone C, ajugasterone C-20,22-monoacetonide, ajugasterone C-2,3,20,22-diacetonide and 5-deoxykaladasterone-20,22-monoacetonide by means of spectroscopic data. This is the first report of ajugasterone C-2,3,20,22-diacetonide and 5-deoxykaladasterone-20,22-monoacetonide isolated from a natural source. |
