Abstract:The pathogenesis of primary osteoporosis is extremely complex and has not been fully elucidated up to now.The development of bone immunology further demonstrates the important role of chronic inflammation in the development of osteoporosis, in which multiple inflammatory factors and immune cells are involved.As indicators reflecting systemic inflammation,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and Systemic Immune-Inflammation Index (SII) are of low cost and stable monitoring, with obvious advantages. At present, studies have confirmed that they can be combined with other inflammatory indicators and markers of bone transformation to early diagnose osteoporosis and even predict osteoporotic fractures.Compared with the current screening methods for osteoporosis commonly used clinically, it can avoid time-consuming, laborious and delayed results, improve patients'' compliance, and facilitate early detection of osteoporosis and timely intervention.
