Ultrasonographic Characteristics of Benign and Malignant Thyroid Nodules by High-Frequency Color Doppler Ultrasound

Objective:To investigate the value of high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.Methods:160 patients with thyroid nodules from January 2019 to January 2021 were selected.All patients underwent conventional ultrasound and high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound.They were divided into malignant nodule group and benign nodule group according to the surgical and pathological results;The ultrasonographic characteristics of the two groups were compared,and the efficacy of ordinary color Doppler ultrasound and high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of thyroid malignant nodules was analyzed.Results:The pathological results showed that among the 160 patients with thyroid nodules,62 cases were malignant nodules(malignant nodules group)and 98 cases were benign nodules(benign nodules group);The sound shadow rate of malignant nodule group with unclear edge,posterior echo attenuation,aspect ratio>1,no halo ring and micro calcification was significantly higher than that of benign nodule group(all P<0.05).The efficiency of highfrequency color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of thyroid malignant nodules(AUC:0.893)was higher than that of ordinary color Doppler ultrasound(AUC:0.842).Conclusion:High-frequency color ultrasound has high diagnostic value for benign and malignant thyroid nodules.The ultrasonic image characteristics such as echo attenuation behind the nodules can provide a reference basis for the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.
