| Abstract: | The hepatocarcinogenicity of benzo(a)pyrene(BP) in the rat was examined. Rats were treated with BP after partial hepatectomy and then kept on a diet containing phenobarbital (PB) as a promoter. Tumors including a hepatocellular carcinoma developed in the rat liver by week 52. |
