Summarized Enshi city＇s natural geographical conditions, Enshi city located in common border of Hubei, Hunan, Chongqing, Guizhou these four provinces, which called Wuling mountainous area, the overatl relief is northwest, southeast high,mid- dle part low, and it belongs to middle latitude subtropical climate, winter is not too cold and summer is not too hot, it has abundant water resource and fertile soil. Then,introduced Enshi authentic medicinal herbs＂ historical background,in the early year, Enshi medi- cine has already possessed Sichuan medicine＇s authenticity, now there are about 2000 kinds of botanical drug have been found in Enshi city, vegetation is good, Chinese herbal medicine breed is varied and the quality is superior. Finally, I＇d like to point out that reasonable development and utilization of traditional chinese medicinal materials can bring lots of good to Enshi civilian and the whole nation.
