Rabies is an important zoonosis, our country is one of the most serious countries that affected by rabies harm. According to the epidemic situation of rabies in China, the article analyzed on the reasons of the high morbidity of rabies. The specific suggestions about the strategy for prevention and control of rabies in China was put forward, combined with the experience on control rabies at home and abroad and the latest requirement of standard of preventive treatment for rabies exposure with the Ministry of health.
