牙周病与心血管疾病的相互关系

牙周病和心血管疾病的相互关系是目前医学界研究的一个热点。近年来的流行病学研究和动物实验表明牙周病这个慢性低度感染条件与心血管疾病密切相关,但尚不能证明二者存在因果关系。牙周病可能作为一个危险因素与先天遗传因素和传统危险因素共同作用,导致心血管疾病的发生、发展。本文就其可能的机制作一综述。

Relationship between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease

It has been the hot field in medical science to investigate the relationship between periodontitis and cardiovascular disease at present.Epidemiologic studies and animal experimental evidences indicate that the periodontitis is the chronic low-grade inflammatory condition correlated to the cardiovascular disease significangtly in recent years,though we can not prove that there is causal relation between them.Periodontitis may contribute to the taking place and developing of the cardiovascular disease as a risk factor together with congenital genetic factors and traditional risk factors.The aim of this article is to overview the potential mechanism between theem.
