| Abstract: | The clinical experience with 14 gallstone ileus patients operated within a time period of 17 years is analysed with a survey of the relevant literature. For surgical solution enterolithotomy is recommended. The difficulties of early diagnosis are pointed out with an emphasis, in case of gallstone, on cholecystectomy for prevention of gallstone ileus. |
