Abstract:Background Ischemia brain injury seriously threatens human life and health.Glutamate plays a major role in the pathogenesis of ischemia brain injury,and the regulation of glutamate conce4tration on the treatment of ischemic brain injury is important.Objective To find a treatment of ischemia brain injury,we investigate the relationship between brain ischemia injury and glutamate transporters,and the effect of a variety of pretreatments on glutamate transporters.Content This review summarizes the glutamate transporter's subtype,distribution,structure and function,and the relationship with ischemic brain injury and the neuroprotective effect of pretreatments.Trend Non-ischemic pretreatment,such as electroacupuncture pretreatment and hyperbaric oxygen pretreatment of cerebral ischemia,is effective and easy to implement.Glutamate transporters would be one of the protective mechanisms.
