牙周病与全身系统性疾病的关系

牙周病是一种慢性细菌感染性疾病,全球成人牙周病的患病率高达80%以上,是成人失牙的主要原因。近些年来牙周病与全身健康的关系愈来愈引起人们的关注。随着医学研究的不断进展,现已初步证实牙周病不仅累及口腔局部牙周组织而且与全身多系统疾病有着高度的相关性,牙周病和心脑血管疾病、中风、糖尿病、早产低出生体重婴儿及呼吸道感染等疾病的相关性研究已被国内外专家大量研究和报道。牙周病与全身系统性疾病的相关机制越来越明了,本文结合近些年已发表的研究成果对牙周病与全身系统疾病的可能相关性作一综述。结果表明牙周病与许多全身系统性疾病存在高度相关性,全身系统性疾病可能促进或加剧牙周病的发生、发展,而牙周病则是系统性疾病的潜在危险因素,甚至可能是某些系统性疾病的独立危险因素。

The relationship of periodontal disease and systemic diseases

Periodontal disease is common among adults in the world and is a chronic bacterial infectious disease. It is one of main reasons of adult＇ s tooth loss. With the continuous progress of medical research has been initially confirmed that periodontal disease is not only involving the oral local periodontal tissue and has a high degree of correlation with various systemic diseases, such as periodontal disease and cardiovascular disease（CVD）,stroke,diabetes, preterm low birth-weight babies and respiratory infections. A review of the relationship between periodontal disease and its possible impact on systemic diseases is discussed. The data showed that periodonatal diseases had correlation with many systemic diseases,systemic diseases maybe promote or aggravate the genesis and development of periodontal diseases,while,the periodontal diseases maybe the potential risk factor of systemic diseases,and even maybe the independent risk factor of some systemic diseases.
