| Abstract: | AIM:To evaluate the efficacy of buflomedil in treating the patients with acute cerebral infarction. METHODS:Seventy_two patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into 2 groups. Buflomedil group (M 21,F 13;age 66±s 9 a) was given buflomedil 250 mg plus dextran 40 glucose (molecular weight=40000) 500 mL,iv gtt,qd,at wk 1, and buflomedil 300 mg,po,bid at wk 2; The control group(M26,F12;age 67±8 a) was injected dextran 40 glucose injection 500mL,iv gtt,qd,for 1 wk. RESULTS: The total clinical effective rate and the remarkable effective rate in patients treated with buflomedil (82%,65%,respectively) were greater than those of control (58%,21%,respectively)(P<0.05). Buflomedil also improved cerebrovascular hemodynamic parameters. The adverse reactions were mild.CONCLUSION:Buflomedil is a safe and effective drug in treating patients with acute cerebral infarction. |
