糖尿病肾病尿蛋白特征的实验分析

作者采用SDS-PAGE观察糖尿病肾病尿蛋白的特征。结果发现:糖尿病肾脏损害时尿蛋白以高、中分子为主,系肾小球性蛋白尿,与正常人、高血压病人及反复泌尿道感染时的尿蛋白类型明显不同。采用SDS-PAGE有助于早期发现糖尿病的肾脏损害。

STUDY ON CHARACTERISTICS OF PROTEINURIA OF DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY

Renal damage is one of the most seri-ous complications of diabetes mellitus. Inorder to find out whether Sodium DodecylSulfate-Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE) could be used to determinethe characteristics of diabetic proteinuriaand provide an important supportive evi-dence for the diagnosis of early diabeticnephropathy, 68 noninsulin dependeddiabetic patients have been studied. Theresults showed that 37 out of 60 diabeticswithout urinary tract infection showedpredominant excretion of high molecularweight proteins, suggesting glomerulardysfunction. Another 8 diabetics withrepeated urinary tract infection revealedpredominant excretion of low molecularweight proteins. While in non-diabeticswith hypertension, albumin was thepredominant urinary protein, as seen innormal individuals. The results suggestthat the SDS-PAGE pattern is differentamong diabetic nephropathy, normalcontrols, hypertensive patients andpatients with repeated urinary tractinfection. The results suggest that earlydiagnosis of renal malfunction in diabeticscan be made by SDS-PAGE.
