| Abstract: | This paper reports a quantitative method for determing ginsenoside Rb 1 in Panax quinquefolium L and P.ginseng C.A.Mey.by HPLC.Examination of ten specimens of P.quinquefolium and P.ginseng showed that the HPLC patterns of P.quinquefolium are always simpler than those of P.ginseng, the minor ginsenosides in P.ginseng are easier to be observed and the patterns are therefore more complicated.It was obvious that there was no ginsenoside Rf in P.quinquefolium ,but it was detected in P.ginseng by means of HPLC. |
