Biochemical markers of myocardial necrosis in acute myocardial infarction and thrombolysis

This paper summarizes the most important biochemical properties of several biochemical markers of myocardial injury and discusses the practical applications of these markers for the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction, for the noninvasive detection of coronary artery recanalization after treatment with thrombolytic agents, and for the early identification of cardiovascular events in unstable angina.
