Effects of butyphthalide combined with atorvastatin on blood lipids and indexes related to carotid artery ultrasound in patients with acute cerebral infarction

Objective:To analyze the effects of butyphthalide combined with atorvastatin on blood lipids and indexes related to carotid artery ultrasound in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods:65 patients with acute cerebral infarction admitted to Department of Neurology of our hospital from October 2018 to October 2020 were selected as the subjects of this study.According to the random number table,they were divided into 31 cases in the conventional group(treatment with atorvastatin)and 34 cases in the treatment group(treatment with butyphthalid combined with atorvastatin).After treatment,the blood lipids and indexes related to carotid artery ultrasound were compared between the two groups.Results:The improvement of blood lipids in the treatment group was better than that in the conventional group(P<0.05).The indexes related to carotid artery ultrasound and improvement of carotid artery stenosis were better than those of the conventional group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Butylphthalide combined with atorvastatin in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction can effectively improve the patient's blood lipid level and indexes related to carotid artery ultrasound,protect the brain tissue,and have clinical use value.
