| Abstract: | Hepatitis C is caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV), which primarily has six genotypes. Hepatitis C is mainly transmitted via contact with blood contaminated by HCV. HCV infection is distributed worldwide, and China is a mediumto high-risk endemic area for HCV. Hepatitis C easily becomes chronic and even develops into liver cirrhosis and hepatoma.
