专门用途英语教学理念指导下的医学英语翻译教学

专门用途英语是指与某种特定职业或学科相关的英语,是根据学习者的特定目的和特定需要而开设,包括商务英语、医学英语等.随着其教学理念的深入和发展,部分医学院校也相继开设了医学英语阅读和视听说等课程.但是,医学英语翻译教学没有受到应有的重视,医学英语翻译中误译和错译的现象时有发生.本文通过对医学英语误译实例的分析,详解医学英语的语言特点,从词汇、句法和超越词句的语篇层面探讨相应的翻译方法和策略,以提高医学英语翻译教学的效果,减少误译和错译现象的发生.

Medical English translation teaching in the light of ESP notion

English for specific purposes （ESP） refers to the English related to specific professions or subjects to meet specific needs of the learners,including business English,medical English,etc.With the development of ESP theory in the field of English teaching,many medical universities start to offer medical English reading and audio-visual-oral courses,but translation teaching is still ignored.No wonder mistranslation is not a rarity in medical articles.Through analyzing some examples of mistranslation,the basic lexical,syntactical and textual features of medical English and the corresponding translation strategies are explicated,so as to prompt medical English translation teaching and reduce improper translation to the minimum.
