Abstract: | Summary The authors report a clinical case of desmoid tumor of the left inguinal region whose excision necessitated removal of the anterior wall of the inguinal region and of the entire walls of the femoral canal. The reconstruction of these different walls was made by means of two prostheses: one to reconstitute the sheath of the iliofemoral vascular canal, the other to reconstitute the anterior wall of the left inguinal region. The report of this clinical case is taken as an opportunity to review the special nature of these tumors and their course and treatment. |
