Abstract:Head trauma is exceedingly common in children, but rarely presents as a penetrating injury to the skull. Most of the recommendations on evaluation, management, and follow-up of such injuries are based on the adult literature. We report a case of penetrating head injury from a tapered metal object in a 4-year old child.
