Efficacy of Iguratimod Combined with Methotrexate in the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective To investigate the efficacy of iguratimod combined with methotrexate in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and its effect on C-reactive protein(CRP),programmed death receptor-1(PD-1)and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR).Methods Totally120 patients with RA admitted to The People’s Hospital of Lingshui Li Autonomous County from January 2018 to June 2019 were selected and randomly divided into the control group(methotrexate)and the observation group(iguratimod+methotrexate),60 cases in each group.Both groups were continuously treated for 6 months.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(93.10%vs.80.36%,P<0.05).Compared with those in the control group,the scores of visual analogue scale(VAS)and 28 joint disease activity scale(DAS28),levels of biochemical indexes[CRP,PD-1,ESR,malondialdehyde(MDA)]in the observation group were lower(P<0.05),while the levels of biochemical indexes[glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),superoxide dismutase(SOD)]in the observation group were higher after treatment(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse drug reactions was similar between the two groups(17.24%vs.10.71%,P>0.05).Conclusion Iguratimod combined with methotrexate is effective and safe in the treatment of RA,it can effectively relieve clinical symptoms,reduce the levels of CRP,PD-1 and ESR,and regulate oxidative stress.
