| Abstract: | Glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)can inhibit the release of glucagon and stimulate the release of insulin,which is related to type 2 diabetes.Recently,studies have found that bitter taste traditional Chinese medicine activates intestinal tract bitter taste receptors(TAS2 R),and then promote GLP-1 secretion from intestinal endocrine L cells through activating phospholipase C pathway and phosphodiesterase pathway.Bitter taste traditional Chinese medicine is widely used in the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus.This article reviews bitter taste traditional Chinese medicine stimulates GLP-1 secretion mediated by intestinal TAS2 Rs and it provides new perspective for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus with bitter taste traditional Chinese medicine. |
