| Abstract: | Fourty-five cases with prolactin secretingadenoma were studied through main clinicalsymptoms, measurement of anterior pituitaryhormone, pituitary dynamic functional tests (TRH,MCP) roentgenodiagnosis, and pathologic examina-tion, including electronmicroscopy (EM). Thediagnostic criteria of prolactinorua were discussed.Amenorrhea, galactorrhea, serum PRL>200 ng,/mlwhen other causes of hyperprolactinemia are exclud-ed, a blunted response of serum PRL to TRH orMCP and characteristic feature of Nebenkerns andmisplaced exocytosis shown by EM all favour thediagnosis of prolactinoma. |
