Coronary heart disease (CHD) in the elderly is increasing recently with the coming of the aged society.The aged patients with CHD are such kind of patients with special clinical and pathophysiological characters.When the interventional therapy is selected for this kind of patients,the following factors should be considered: age,chronic diseases,cardiac function,the anatomy of local area with artery lesion and the possibility of complete revascularization.The interventional therapy can also get the satisfactory results in the aged patients with CHD.The key problem for reducing the post-operative complications is to establish a strict criterion for selecting patients.
