| Abstract: | An 8% solution of ethanol in saline was administered via intraperitoneal injection to male rats, at dose levels of 0.33 and 0.66 g/kg body weight. When exposed to an 800 ppm concentration of hydrogen sulfide, 30 min after injection, the alcohol-treated animals displayed a heightened sensitivity to the gas compared to saline-treated rats. |
