The necessity and methods of teaching pharmacoinformatics in pharmacy high education

Objective: To probe the necessity and methods of teaching pharmacoinformatics in pharmacy high education. Methods: By reviewing the principle and contents of pharmacoinformatics, the present condition of pharmacoinformatics education was analyzed, and the methods of the educational method were brought up. Results: The education of pharmacoinformatics was the requirement of the high education reform and the devolopment of pharmacy. It was necessary to compile a systematic teaching book and to foster the students' ability in handling and using pharmacy information. Conclusion: It is necessary and urgent that pharmacoinformatics should be launched in the course of pharmacy high education.
