| Abstract: | Summary: Seventeen cases of fetal death in utero and 3 cases of anencephaly have been managed by the extra-amniotic instillation of prostaglandin F2α in Tylose, followed 12 hours later by amniotomy and the intravenous infusion of oxytocin in escalating doses. The mean amniotomy-delivery interval was 7.4 hours and all patients delivered within 12 hours. There were no complications. |
