Objective: To analyze the feasibility of contract manufacturing of Chinese herbal decoction pieces under the system of marketing authorization holder. Methods: Based on the existing laws and regulations related to contract manufacturing in China, the advantages and risks of implementing contract manufacturing of Chinese herbal decoction pieces were analyzed and evaluated. Results and Conclusion: Under the premise of risk management and control, the contract manufacturing of Chinese herbal decoction pieces is helpful for enterprises to optimize the allocation of production resources, reduce the production and management costs, improve the quality management, and promote the healthy and orderly development of Chinese herbal decoction pieces industry as well.
