Abstract: | The diagnosis of recurrent venous thromboembolism includes an evaluation of the patient for inherited or acquired disorders, associated with an increased risk of thromboembolism. Treatment depends, in part, on the underlying disease and, in part, on an adequate understanding of the principles of anticoagulant therapy. |
