Expression of Cyclin D1 in intraepithelial neoplasia and squamous cell carcinoma of cervix and the association with HPV infection

Objective To observe expression of Cylin D1 and the relationship of Cylin D1 and HPV infection,offer a new monitoring index for prognosis of CIN and SCC with HPV infection.Methods There are 206 samples include 30 normal control group are from benign uterus,176 CIN and SCC.All samples detect expression of HPV.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect expression of Cyclin D1.Statistical analyses were performed with SPSS13.0 software using Chi-square test,Spearman test.Statistically significant level was considered as "alpha equals 0.05".Results In total 206 cases,Cyclin D1 expression was mainly detected in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cervical organizations.Their average gray scale values were 15.08±7.22,23.89±18.38,15.07±9.50,27.00±15.45,10.39±15.61 respectively.Which showed significant differences in CINⅠ and CINⅢ groups than in control group(P<0.05).The expression of Cyclin D1 in SCC was significantly lower than CINⅠ and CINⅢ groups(P<0.05).There was no obvious difference between control group,CINⅡ and SCC groups(P>0.05).High risk HPV was demonstrate in 0,53.57%,58.82%,82.05%,100% of normal control group,CINⅠ,CINⅡ,CINⅢ and SCC groups,There was no correlation between Cyclin D1 and HPV infection.There was no correlation between Cyclin D1 and groups.Conclusion There is no increasing tendency of the expression of Cyclin D1 in control group,CINⅠ,CINⅡ,CINⅢ groups.It is poor as a monitoring index for prognosis of CIN with HPV infection.
