DEVELOPMENT OF A GERMICIDAL ULTRAVIOLET MINI-RADIOMETER
Abstract:In order to monitor the ultraviolet disinfection, a new type of germicidal ultraviolet mini-radiometer was designed with raw materials produced in China. The size of the mini-radiometer is 10×8×5.5 cm~3 and the weight is 0.5 kg. It mainly measures ultraviolet ray in the wave length range of 250.0~350.0 nm. It consists of three parts, namely, light receptor, circuit for transmission and amplification of electric signal and indicator. The intensity of ultraviolet ray in μW/cm~2 can be read directly from the indicator.The mini-radiometer was checked by Chinese Academy of Metrology. By comparing with Japan-made radiometer type UVR 254 in parallel test, the differences of readings between these two radiometers showed normal distribution, the average value of difference was 1.07 μW/cm~2 and the conformity rate was 58.82%, indicating no significance in the differences of readings.
