Caring for inpatients with learning disabilities

People with learning disabilities are more than twice as likely as the rest of the population to experience ill health, yet their health needs are often poorly met. This article describes the implementation and evaluation of an education project, led by community learning disability nurses, to improve the care of patients with learning disabilities in hospital.
