摘    要:目的研究Tulasi对接受^137Cs-γ射线全身照射小鼠的防护作用。方法将Swiss小鼠分为对照组和处理组,采用^137Cs-γ射线对两组小鼠进行不同剂量单次全身照射;其中处理组小鼠在照射前1 d给予Tulasi(20 mg/kg),采用最大耐受量评价Tulasi的用药安全性,观察小鼠30 d存活率、肝脏丙二醛(MDA)和还原型谷胱甘肽(GSH)的含量。结果 Tulasi具有很好的用药安全性,最大耐受量为275 mg/kg,能显著提高辐射小鼠的30 d生存率,处理组与对照相比,差异有高度统计学意义(P〈0.001);对照组肝脏MDA的含量明显较处理组高,而GSH的含量则明显低于处理组,两者差异均有高度统计学意义(P〈0.001)。结论 Tulasi对接受全身照射的小鼠具有明显的辐射防护作用。

Abstract:Objective To study the Tulasi as a superior radioprotectants against radiation-induced damage.Methods Swiss albino mice irradiated with ~(137)Cs-γrays were divided into two groups:the control group and the treatment group.Animals in the treatment group was treated with Tulasi(20 mg/kg) 24 hours before radiation and those in the control group were not treated.Animals in both groups were exposed toγ-rays with whole body such a kind of irradiation experiment was carried for 30 days and survival rate was observed.The maximum tolerated dose(MTD) was used to evaluate the safety of Tulasi.Then all the mice were sacrificed at 13d after radiation,malondialdehyde(MDA) and glutathione(GSH ) level were measured from their liver extracts after radiation with indicated doses of gamma rays.Results Animals treated with Tulasi was substantially better tolerated when Tulasi was intravenously administered as a single bolus injection.The MTD was about 275 mg/kg.Survival rate of the mice in the treatment group had higher survival rate than that in the control group(P〈0.001 ).The content of MDA in the control group was higher than that in the treatment group(P〈0.001 ),while the content of GSH in the control group was lower than that in the treatment group(P〈0.001).Conclusion Tulasi may be an attractive radioprotectant to be used for radiation induced damage.
