Nuclear Medicine in Gastroenterology

Visualization of the morphology of the gastrointestinal tract, and of lesions that alter this morphology, is well established. Attention has now turned to the more challenging problems of “visualizing” physiologic processes such as absorption, and of imaging and performing dynamic studies of the pancreas, the liver, and the other components of the hepatobiliary system.
