Hemodynamic Changes in Acute Myocardial Infarction |
| |
Abstract: | Understanding of the hemodynamic patterns associated with left ventricular dysfunction has been aided by more accurate techniques for monitoring cardiac function soon after infarction. These include a simpler method of obtaining pulmonary artery wedge pressures and noninvasive ways of evaluating left heart size and pulsation abnormalities. They may assist in applying bolder therapies early in the patient's course. |
