Cancer Rehabilitation: People Investing in People

Formal rehabilitation for cancer patients was almost nonexistent 10 years ago, when a major national initiative for such a program was launched by the NCI. The 50% of cancer patients who survive the disease can now look forward to more productive lives, thanks not only to the advances in treatment but also to the network of hospital-and community-based rehabilitation services.
