Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation between the main pharmacodynamic components and chromaticity of Rheum tanguticum Maxim.;To establish a rapid chromaticity analysis method for evaluating the external quality of Rheum tanguticum Maxim.Methods The contents of active components in Rheum tanguticum Maxim.were determined by HPLC,and the principal components were analyzed by SPSS 21.0;the chromaticity values L*,a*,b*,and E*ab were determined,and the correlation between the values and the effective components of Rheum tanguticum Maxim.was analyzed.Results The results of principal component analysis showed that the cumulative contribution rate of total anthraquinones,free anthraquinones,sennoside A,and sennoside B reached 47.148%,which were the main chemical components in Rheum tanguticum Maxim.;the correlation between the chromaticity value and the active components showed that the values of b*and E*ab were significantly correlated with the contents of total anthraquinones,sennoside B,and sennoside A.Conclusion Chromaticity analysis can quickly evaluate the external quality of Rheum tanguticum Maxim..The internal and external quality control methods can be more objective,effective and rapid to evaluate the quality of Rheum tanguticum Maxim..
