| Abstract: | The Chinese Diabetes Society issued the Guideline for the Prevention and Treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in China(2020 Edition)(abbreviated as 2020 Edition of the Guideline).It includes the role of TCM in preventing and treating diabetes.Chinese patent medicine is an important means of TCM to prevent and treat diabetes.This article analyzed the composition,efficacy,and evidence-based evidence of Chinese patent medicines recommended by 2020 Edition of the Guideline.On this basis,the location and research direction of its clinical application were discussed,and suggestions were provided for exerting the role of Chinese patent medicines in the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. |
