| Abstract: | The value of glucocorticosteriod in the treatment of acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) has been disputed for decades. Here it is discussed when and how to use steriods as well as theirside effects for treating ARDS. I t is suggested that steroids should be used in the late phase of ARDS witha smaller dose and longer course, and then prevent or lessen the complications . |
