| Abstract: | The combination of conservative surgery and radiation therapy has become a more widely employed treatment approach for patients with early breast cancer. Cooperation between the surgeon, radiologist, pathologist, radiation therapist and medical oncologist is critical in obtaining good results using this approach. In this article, we summarize the treatment policy at the Harvard Joint Center for Radiation Therapy with concentration on treatment techniques and their appropriate application. |
