王道全认为小儿肌性斜颈多因先天秉赋不足、胎儿营养失调、感染胎毒、产时外伤等,以出生时即出现头向患侧斜、前倾,颜面旋向健侧为临床特点,多数新生儿一出生两眼裂不对称,或患侧眼睛不睁,至10余天后睁眼,但也较健侧为小,颈部患侧有梭形肿物。据患儿胖瘦、虚实,灵活选用手法。体弱消瘦虚证患儿,手法宜轻、用补法,同时配合捏脊法等;体壮肥胖实证患儿,手法宜重、用泻法等。手法治疗以局部为主,施术以舒筋活血,软坚散结。日常生活中嘱患儿家属可经常在患侧胸锁乳突肌作被动牵拉伸展,经常采用与头面畸形相反方向的动作加以矫正,如喂奶、睡眠时枕垫或吸引患儿注意力使患儿旋转头部,主动拉伸颈项部肌肉等,以助颈部功能的恢复,对康复治愈大有裨益。
