Clinical Observation of HUO XUE KANG MAI Pill on Naifold Microcirculation in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease

There is a correlation between coronary heart disease (CHD) and peripheral microcirculation. The abnormal level of peripheral microcirculation and myocardial ischemia or injury are approximately parallel. Wells and Heisiz have reported that examination of peripheral microcirculation could be used to estimate the degree of myocardial and vascular patholgic changes. Our results showed that all indexes of nailfold microcirculation in patients with and without CHD are significangly different (P<0. 01). We have treated 80 cases of CHD with HUO XUE KANG MAI Pill and took nailfold microcirculation data as the main indexes. The results showed that the capillary loops, blood flow condition, perivascular condition and total score were markedly improved after treatment, the difference was significantly remarkable (P<0. 01). HUO XUE KANG MAI Pill was a pure Chinese medicine making out of 21 Chinese herbs. The results of laboratary and clinical trials indicated that this drug has functions of invigorating the blood circulation, improving microcirculation, increasing blood flow, dilating blood vessels and prerenting coagulation.
