Abstract:Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 ( TREM-1 ) is a cell membrane receptor playing an important role in inflammatory response found in recent years, which is selectively expressed on the surface of myeloid cells such as ueutrophil, mature monocyte and macrophages. Soluble triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 ( sTREM-1 ) is the splice variant of TREM-1. In the inflammatory response, sTREM-1 combines with the ligands of TREM-1, and blocks the signal transduction pathway mediated by TREM-1, thus down-regulates inflammation response, which is a self-regulating protection mechanism of the body. In recent years, studies have found that sTREM-1 is closely related to the diseases such as sepsis and lung infection. The testing of sTREM-1 level in serum and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, has made great progress in the clinical applications, which has shown a considerable value on the diagnosis and prognosis judgment of infectious diseases.
