Professor Ji Laixi′s experience of acupuncture treating peripheral facial paralysis

Professor Ji Laixi has been engaged in clinical work for many years, and has summarized the combination of dominant acupuncture techniques in the treatment of various diseases. This paper introduces professor Ji’s clinical experience in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis with the combination of dominant techniques. From the aspects of syndrome differentiation, treatment characteristics, prognosis judgment, operation methods and so on, combined with typical cases, the clinical experience of professor Ji in treating the disease was summarized. According to different syndrome, a variety of needles such as plum-blossom needle, chisel needle, needle-knife,sharp needle, and filiform needle were used to give full play to the strengths of each needle. The combination of various needles and medicine has formed a complete and effective treatment method. This treatment method has great practical value and provides valuable experience for clinical treatment of peripheral facial paralysis, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
