Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of reflection learning and group discussion method in the teaching of Health Education. Methods Two hundreds and seventeen nursing undergraduate were assigned to the interventional group ( n = 110 ) and control group ( n = 107) ,and received teaching respectively by reflection and group discus- sion method in the intervention and by traditional classrcom teaching method in the control group. Results 33ae scores of health education examination and general course e- valuation in the interventional group were higher than those in the control group (P 〈 0.01 ). The dimension scores of critical thinking ability except the three dimensions of see- king the truth,open - mind and curiousness in the interventional group were higher than those in the control group (P 〈 0. 01 ). And 90.00% students in the intervention group believed that the new teaching method could promote knowledge understanding,memory,absorption and application. Conclusions Reilection learning and ~7oup discussion method can efficiently promote students to understand knowledge and cultivate their abilities of health education and critical thinking.
