Methods and effects of humanistic nursing services applied in school-age children with asthma

Objective To investigate the methods and effects of humanistic nursing services applied in school - age children with asthma. Methods According to the odd and even numbers, 65 asthma children were divided into the experimental group and the control group. Both the two groups received specialist nurses＂ guidance about asthma and inhalation therapy knowdelge. In addition, the experimental group received extended services outside the hospital, including lending compressed air pumps,inhalation operating demonstration, and telephone follow - up. Results The rates of treatment compliance and timely follow - up in the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group （ P 〈 0.01 ）. Conclusion Humananistic nursing services can improve asthma children＇s treatment compliance and the rate of follow - up.
