Application of evidence-based nursing in respiratory care of patients with simple radiotherapy for laryngeal cancer and its influence on QOL score

Objective To investigate the effect of evidence-based nursing on respiratory care in patients with laryngeal cancer alone and its impact on quality of life(QOL).Methods A total of 120 patients with laryngeal cancer who were treated with radiotherapy in our hospital from January 2018 to January 2019 were enrolled.The patients were divided into two groups according to the treatment,60 in the experimental group and 60 in the control group.The control group received routine nursing intervention during the treatment period,and the experimental group implemented evidence-based nursing management on this basis to observe and compare the nursing effects of the two groups.Results The swallowing function of the two groups was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).After the nursing,the QOL score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group.The control group(P<0.05);the incidence of complications was lower in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Evidence-based nursing management for patients with laryngeal cancer alone can significantly improve the swallowing function and quality of life,reduce the incidence of complications during radiotherapy,and have positive significance for promoting patient recovery.It is worthy of popularization and application.
