摘    要:Ageing can be defined as a time-dependent process whereby one's body can no longer cope with environmental stress and change as easily as it once could. Although each species has a finite and unique maximal life span, there must be ways tonic-taking, for example, to prolong the average life span and prevent premature senility efficiently. The authors investigated on the Lycium barbarum L. grown in Ningxia to see if it can delay, reverse or decrease the rate of decline in normal immune functions and physiological functions. 43 subjects (40 men and 3 women), without overt disease, aged 60 years and over, living in the community and institutions were chosen. Dry fruits of Lycium barbarum L. were orally.
