Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of short-term ultimate load training on the hematological indexes of thyroid function of Armed Police recruits. Methods Sixty-eight Armed Police recruits were chosen randomly between October and November of 2018.Venous blood was drawn at 7:00 a.m. before training and after seven days of ultimate load training. Such hematological indexes as FT3,FT4,TSH,TGA and TPOA were analyzed. Results There was no significant difference in hematological indexes except TSH between the samples before training and after training. The level of TSH decreased from2.16(1.34,3.39)]μU/ml to1.48(0.99,2.05)]μU/ml after training(P<0.05). After training, there were no significant change in the values of FT3 (3.95±0.41) pmol/L vs. (3.94±0.28) pmol/L], FT4 (12.27±1.24) pmol/L vs. (11.30±0.95) pmol/L], TGA (2.17±1.34) U/ml vs. (2.14±1.30) U/ml] or in TPOA (2.35±1.47) U/ml vs. (2.23±1.42) U/ml]. Conclusions Short-term ultimate load training has relatively little effect on hematological indexes of thyroid function among Armed Police recruits, so overload training should be organized as required.
