Advances in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy of Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignancys threat ening the health of women.Radiotherapy is the primary treatment of cervical cancer.Intensity modulated radiation therapy(IMRT)is increasingly popular as a method of precise radiotherapy,IMRT in cervical cancer has its unique advantages,mainly reflected in increasing tumor target dose,reducing the dose of normal tissue,improving patients′ quality of life.There are still various problems and difficulties in current cervical cancer ZMRT,such as controlling errors of intrafraction motion in patients;assessing the internal organ motion;defining clinical target volume and planning target volume contours and so on.
